At the Top of the page you will see a small version of the previous technique Previous position
This is the Current Technique and Stance Bring your Right leg Backwards, then step forward in Back Stance (Kokutsu Dachi) Knife hand Block (Shuto Uke)
The Large Picture will always start the Kata facing you ie HIS, not your 12 o'clock position

You are his 12 o'clock position

In this example he has turned to HIS Right which is HIS 3 o'clock position

The Direction Maps show your Current position of the Kata and the approximate foot position in relation to each other.

They are placed as if you are doing the Kata towards the screen ie the screen is your 12 o'clock position.
This example shows you would be facing your 3 o'clock position

The feet are placed in the Correct Stance position and point in the direction your feet should be in if you had started the Kata facing the screen.
This example shows a back stance towards the 3 o,clock position
