| Bring your Left knee forward and up so that it points at where you will be kicking (stomach height - Chudan) | |
| Keep your arms still - it will be tempting to move them to the side | |
| Kick with the ball of your foot remembering to pull the toes back out of the way | |
| Bring the foot back to the supporting knee and step forward in to front stance | |
| The next move is performed as this foot reaches the floor |
